Missing Features - Printing
March 2. 2018
PowerApps has no print support. What can you do instead?
A key feature that's missing in PowerApps is print support. Many use-cases require print support and this limitation prevents us from building such systems. Examples include:
- Printing quotes and invoices for customers
- Printing shipping notes or packing lists
- Printing school reports / HR reviews
- The list goes on....
The only feasible workaround is to design screens that the user can print using the browser's print facility. Other methods include linking to HTML content that's generated elsewhere (eg SQL Reporting Services), or to use a third party tool such as Muhimbi. Here's a link to some further reading...
The good news is that according to this post, Microsoft have now started to develop a print feature. Let's hope that we'll see this feature soon!
