.
What are the notable features Power Apps builders? Here's a summary, including the estimated dates for the preview release.

1 - Copilot helps you plan out solutions to business problems - Available Now

The biggest feature is the 'Plan Designer'. This AI feature enables users to specify the requirements of a system using natural language.

It generates a plan that documents user stories and user roles. It designs the Dataverse tables, and builds model-driven and canvas apps. It also suggests the Power Automate flows that are needed to support the system.

This feature is currently in preview and ready for us to test today.

2 - Improve form fill assistance by adding custom knowledge - Available Feb 2025

Model-driven apps offer an AI powered form filler that assists data entry by pre-filling data entry screens.

An enhancement to this feature will enable app makers to drag files onto the designer to improve suggestions that are made by the form filler.

3 - Visualize the data in your view easily with Copilot - Available Mar 2025

With model-driven apps, users will be able to display the data defined in views as charts. There will be the option to change the chart type, drill into charts, and interact with charts.

4 Manage your source code for canvas apps - May 2025

An exciting feature is the enhancement of code support in canvas apps. This upcoming feature will make it possible to see the full YAML code in the designer and to build/modify apps outside of the Power Apps editor.

This change will enable the support for storage of canvas apps in Git source control natively.

Conclusion

The 2025 Wave 1 Release includes some very interesting additions for Power App builders. Full details can be found on the Microsoft site via the following link.
