This evening, the Reading Dynamics 365 & Power Platform User Group (which I co-organise with Areti Iles and Fraser Dear) held a great user group event filled with insightful sessions and engaging demonstrations. Here’s a summary of what took place.

Rajarshi Ray started the evening with an enlightening session on testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) solutions. Rajarshi elaborated on the process of upfront investment, identifying what needs testing, and building test scripts, including using templates as a starting point. He emphasized how automated testing can reduce user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts by 50%.
His talk provided valuable takeaways for anyone looking to enhance their testing processes.
Andrew Wingate and Graeme Donnell - Power Up SMB Power Apps with Business Central Virtual Tables & Copilot – Live Build Demo
They demonstrated how to expose Business Central data to the Power Platform using Dataverse virtual tables. They showed how to build an external-facing website with Power Pages, and how to create a Power App and a Power Automate flow for approvals. Additionally, they highlighted the time-saving benefits of using Copilot throughout this process.
The session was engaging and effectively emphasized the efficiency that we can achieve with Co-pilot and the Power Platform.
